UPS ground shipping charges are calculated during checkout. We are able to offer FREE Local Delivery to our North Texas (DFW area only) neighbors in the following zip codes: All zip codes that start with the following 3 digits, 750 through 754, and  760 through 762, we deliver by ground carrier at no charge, even if the item ships from the manufacturer. Select the "Free Local Shipping" mode during checkout, or we'll manually delete shipping charges from your final bill. Orders over $250 ship FREE by ground carrier to the lower 48 states. You can choose the "Free Shipping over $250" shipping mode, or we'll manually delete the charge from your bill. We normally ship within 1 to 2 business days of receipt of order for credit card orders, or on receipt of payment for prepaid orders. Regular shipping is by UPS Ground. UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a street address. UPS shipping costs are calculated during checkout and are displayed after you select the shipping mode. Progressive International is a designer and manufacturer of kitchen tools, and is the maker of Mr. Dudley pepper mills. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About turned wooden bowls The one piece bowls made by The Bowl Mill are turned from a single piece of wood using curved chisels that carve out a series of bowls of increasing diameters, making maximum use of the wood. As the wooden bowls continue to air-dry the wood tends to shrink to a greater extent across the grain than in the direction of the grain. This results in the bowls becoming somewhat elongated in the direction of the grain. This natural process is evident to some degree in most of the bowls made in this way. Their unpainted bowls are finished in mineral oil which will eventually need to be renewed if the wood surface appears dry. Apply a new coat of mineral oil using a soft cloth and allow to penetrate the wood for about 10 minutes, then wipe off any excess. Mineral oil is available from any pharmacy and many food stores. Basic rules for use and care of both painted and oiled wooden bowls are: Don't soak bowls in water, don't put in dishwasher, or microwave, or leave in direct sunlight.
